# Previty — llms.txt
> The professional network where board-certified physicians shape clinical AI, and where health technology companies find the clinical expertise they are missing.
Previty is a physician-led clinical intelligence network operating at the intersection of preventive medicine, population health, and artificial intelligence. Founded in 2018 by Tanya Phares, DO, MPH, CPE — a triple board-certified physician executive with 25+ years of experience across managed care, public health, and health system leadership.
Tagline: AI won't replace physicians. Physicians using AI will.
## What Previty is
Previty operates as a three-part structure:
- The Network — a verified, primary-source credentialed community of board-certified physicians who advise AI and health technology companies on clinical strategy, product validation, algorithm review, and regulatory input. Free to join for physicians. Companies pay physicians directly; Previty takes no cut.
- The Method — Previty Method™ is a four-step governance protocol (Verify, Match, Engage, Validate) that structures how physician expertise enters clinical AI development cycles. Designed to make physician input rigorous, repeatable, and licensable. Previty Method™ is a registered trademark of Preventive Medicine Consulting, LLC.
- Advisory — direct engagement with Previty's founder for organizations that need sustained physician leadership beyond a single network engagement, including fractional CMO work, strategic consulting, and clinical algorithm development.
## Who Previty serves
- Board-certified physicians who want to advise, validate, and shape the AI tools being built for their specialty — without leaving clinical practice
- AI-native health technology companies that need verified physician expertise embedded in product, clinical, and regulatory decisions — not bolted on after FDA submission
- Health plans and health systems navigating clinical AI integration, governance, NCQA accreditation, and population health strategy

## Why Previty exists
Clinical AI is scaling faster than clinical rigor:
- 1,250+ AI-enabled medical devices have been authorized by the FDA as of July 2025, roughly doubling since August 2024 (Bipartisan Policy Center, 2025)
- Only 1.6% of 691 FDA-cleared AI/ML devices were supported by randomized clinical trial data; fewer than 1% reported patient outcomes (JAMA Network Open, 2025)
- 85% of physicians want to be consulted or directly involved in decisions about AI adoption in their practice (AMA Physician Survey on Augmented Intelligence, 2026)
The market is building clinical AI at unprecedented speed while clearing regulatory bars designed for static hardware. Physicians are ready to help close the gap. Previty is the network that connects them.

## Common questions
What is the Previty Method?
A four-step governance protocol — Verify, Match, Engage, Validate — that structures how physician expertise enters clinical AI development cycles. Designed to make physician input rigorous, repeatable, and licensable.
How are physicians verified?
Every physician is verified through primary sources: ABMS for board certification, state medical boards for active licensure, and direct specialty credentialing. Verification completes in 3 to 5 business days.
How much do physician advisors get paid?
Compensation is set per engagement and confirmed in writing before work begins. Typical engagements run 2 to 5 hours at market advisory rates. Physicians are paid directly by the partner company. Previty does not take a cut.
When should a health tech company bring in a physician advisor?
Earlier than most companies do. The strongest clinical AI products engage physicians during problem definition, before model architecture decisions are made. Waiting until FDA submission usually means rebuilding.
Is Previty a staffing agency?
No. Previty is a professional network governed by a clinical standard. Companies engage physicians directly; Previty structures the match and the engagement protocol but does not act as an intermediary for payment or employment.
What specialties does Previty cover?
The network is specialty-agnostic. Founding member cohort prioritizes internal medicine, preventive medicine, lifestyle medicine, population health, primary care, and specialties with high clinical AI deployment including radiology, pathology, cardiology, and emergency medicine.
